M3066 Proofs

During class you are to demonstrate with the help of your instructor that you can:

• Prove: The opposite sides of a parallelogram are congruent.
• Prove: The diagonals of a rectangle are congruent.
• Prove: The diagonals of a rhombus bisect each other (if time allows)
• You are to construct three proofs for each of these problems.
  • Proof 1: demonstrate by example on GSP
  • Proof 2: construct a synthetic Euclidean proof
  • Proof 3: construct a coordinate proof
